What does a tour cost?
Every tour is different and catered to your individual passions and interests. Our tours often cost less than paying person by person for a group tour. Large companies have lost the personal touch and don’t listen to or cater to a customers personal needs. Contact us with your questions or list of must-dos and you’ll hear back from us as soon as possible.
Do you offer any discounts?
We believe we price competitively without offering phony discounting structures. We do, however, offer a discount to active police, active EMS/EMT, active Firefighters and active volunteer firefighters, and all retired U.S. veterans and active U.S. military. Please contact us with your details and questions and proof of service so we can thank you for it.
I don’t see the specific tour I want to take. What should I do?
No worries! We specialize in custom tours built for our guests, so please email us with what you want, how many there will be (The more people you book, the less each person costs) and we will build a tour at a great value based on what you want to experience.
I don’t know what I want to do
Not a problem. Contact us with any thoughts or ideas you do have, the number of people and we will help guide you towards the best tour for you
Is TIP included in my cost?
Unless you have specifically requested that gratuity be added in advance, tip is not included in your cost.
Should I TIP my Tour guide?
Tipping is always appreciated, especially if your guide went above and beyond. It should be noted that tipping is not mandatory but rather a nice way to say “Thank you” and show your appreciation for a job well done.
Can I give a tour as a gift?
Absolutely! Choose the tour you’d like to give, and how many people you’d like to give it to (The more people you book, the less each person costs) and we will issue a gift certificate that lasts for 2 years from date of purchase.
Do you handle travel, hotel, event tickets etc?
While we are not a concierge service, but rather a tour service, we can make unbiased recommendations on hotels and events and can help pre-purchase any travel and most event/museum/theatre tickets. Simply reach out and we will help make this the most memorable vacation of your lives.
Can I take a tour if I am handicapped?
Many of the best sites we offer tours of are ADA accessible, but a few due to historical reasons, are not. Please let us know about any mobility issues or disabilities in advance so we can properly inform you and make your vacation experience easy and memorable.
Do you mail me tickets?
No we do not. We will send you a receipt via email or text (Your choice) and then your reservation will be saved using our digital reservation system.
Can I bring luggage on the tour?
We know several places we can recommend IN ADVANCE for storing luggage, as many places won’t allow luggage due to security, timing etc.
Are these walking tours or shuttle tours or car tours?
It is whatever you want it to be. We will ask you about mobility, weather at the time of your visit etc. and make recommendations based on your needs. Simply email us and we can start creating your world class vacation experience.
Im worried about finding my way to where the tour starts and getting back to my hotel after the tour
We have several solutions. First, you’ll receive detailed instructions with your booking confirmation on the best ways to travel to and from be it Uber, Private driver or public transit. Second, we also offer pick-up and drop- off services
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and while we can accept Money Orders and Checks, a booking is not confirmed until all payments have been confirmed.
*If tour is canceled by YEStoursNYC then it is 100% refundable. If tour is canceled by guest 14 or more days prior to tour it is 50% refundable. If canceled 4-13 days prior tour is 25% refundable. Tours are NONREFUNDABLE if canceled within 0-3 days prior to day tour begins on. We offer Rebookings at no charge whenever possible with no tour service fees (If an event has a Ticket, such as the Statue of Liberty Ferry, Ticket Fees are non refundable and must be purchased again)
*These are tours with an expert guide in NYC, D.C., and the Hudson Valley. They are highly educated and capable, but they are only there to guide you. Although unlikely, all tour guests must assume the inherent risks associated with traffic, walking in a busy city (sometimes on uneven streets or near construction) weather, crime, accidents and traffic accidents and other normal hazards that may occur while on a YEStourNYC.
*YEStoursNYC operates every day of the year, in all weather conditions. While we reserve the right to cancel if weather is hazardous, this is a rarity in NYC. We recommend being overly prepared. Check the local weather the night before AND morning of your tour. Use whichever Map App you enjoy and switch to TRANSIT mode for subway service. Add 20-30% to the time it recommends for normal NYC traffic and mass transit traffic times. It is your responsibility to arrive early to your destination to ensure the tour begins on time. Please tell us in advance if you’d like advice on how to get to your beginning location or if you’d like to add a pick-up or drop-off service.
